Dissemination during UIA International Forum 2024, Kuala Lumpur
Mina Sava, the President of De-a Arhitectura Association, also representing the Romanian Chamber of Architects in the UIA Architecture and Children Workgroup, briefly presented the project during the UIA International Forum that took place in Kuala Lumpur in November 2024.
Multiplier Event during HUB-IN - City as a Classroom Summer School
Monica Mureșanu presented the project at the 2nd edition of the City as a Classroom Summer School in Braşov. In this ‘City as Classroom’ workshop, held on July 3, 2024 in Braşov, young people participated in a multidisciplinary exploration, reflecting the objectives of the EU-funded Palimpsest Cities project to promote awareness of architectural history and cultural heritage through gamification and storytelling.
City on Trial Workshop during Street Delivery 2024
Street Delivery is a long lasting annual urban festival. The 2024 edition was dedicated to the young citizens of Bucharest and De-a arhitectura was invited to conduct a workshop. City on Trial was the best fit for the occasion, where Bucharest was accused of driving young people away from the heritage of the city center on 5 October 2024.
Dissemination and City on Trial Workshop during the CityShape Module of the Urban Leadership Academy - ALU
The Urban Leadership Academy is organized by the Sibiu Community Foundation and is addressed to young adults (21-35yrs) living in Sibiu. It comprises of 5 modules one of which is City Shape -through which the participants get familiar with how a city works, how it is governed and they get introduced to the complex relationships that make a city on 6-7 July 2024.
TRAILS: heritage and urban exploration through film
The “TRAILS: heritage and urban exploration through film” workshop was organized in partnership by De-a Arhitectura Association and Art in Dialogue Association (Asociația Arta în Dialog), being part of the Urban Eye Film Festival in Reșița, 2024 edition on 20-28 July 2024.
Heritage Wherever - Patrimoniu Oriunde - 2nd Pilot
The second workshop in the series *Patrimoniu.Oriunde* brought a significant evolution in our educational and urban research approach. Through the second pilot, we got to build continuity and enrich the process through diversified experiences and a more meaningful collaboration on 13-14 April 2024.
Heritage Wherever - Patrimoniu Oriunde - 1st Pilot
The workshop was created to bring together notions of tangible and intangible heritage by understanding how we relate individually and collectively to the city’s built environmen on 16-17 December 2023.
Multiplier Event With Participants of ICCAUA Conference
We concluded our multiplier event with a gamifield trip in Alanya Castle on 24 May 2024. It was great pleasure for us to meet and share our project with architects and urbanists from around the world participating in ICCAUA conference.
Multiplier Event at Alanya University
We held our multiplier event on 23 May 2024 at Alanya University. We disseminated our project and explained how the outputs can be used and implemented by other academics. We would like to thank ICCAUA for including our multipler event in the conference program.
Dissemination Activities in Romania by De-a Arhitectura
DAA team members presented the project during the De-a Arhitectura Association Annual Assembly in December 2022, to 60 members of the organization (architects and teachers).
Dissemination Activity with Alanya Nursing Home
Our Project Coordinator Muzaffer Özgüleş presented Palimpsest Cities Project in Alanya Nursing Home on 26 March 2024, and talked about cultural heritage with the elderly.
Palimpsest Cities Project and First Results
Palimpsest Cities Project and First Results were shared by Muzaffer Özgüleş, the coordinator of the project, at Alanya University on 11 January 2024. At the event, Alanya Castle model prepared by the students who took the Palimpsest Cities: Alanya course was also exhibited.

Dissemination Activity with Alanya Excavation Directorate
We disseminated our project during our visit to Alanya Excavation Directorate on 20 September 2023 with Prof. Mesut Güner, Rector of Alanya University, and we agreed to cooperate during the local implementations of our project.
Dissemination Meeting in Brasov
Monica Mureșanu and Oana Pavăl have presented the Palimpsest Cities project at the City as a Classroom Summerschool (Orașul ca sală de clasă), in Brașov, Romania, where highschool students participated alongside with Furniture Design College students participated and they envisioned public spaces for youths in the city center of Brașov for four public squares inside the old town limits.
Dissemination Activity at UIA World Congress of Architects
Vera Marin, Monica Mureșanu, Oana Pavăl (team members of the Palimpsest City Project from DAA) together with Mina Sava (de-a Arhitectura Association President) presented the Palimpsest City Project and our contributions to the curricula in relation to the UrbanUp Programme of De-a Arhitectura Association, addressing teenagers and youths at the UIA World Congress 2023, at the Design for Inclusivity Panel, Age Subcategory.
