TPM1 @Alanya

The 1st Transnational Project Meeting organised by Alanya University was held in Alanya, Turkey on 23 and 24 January 2023. Its goal was to meet with partners, solidify every project partner’s contribution and their duties by reviewing the project timetable. The project coordinator presented the Palimpsest Cities idea and how it could be developed and implemented in various ways. The dissemination plan of the project was also reviewed and collaborations with associated partners were highlighted. All partners had the opportunity to work together on the requirement analysis of each of the proposed activities. For a higher level of efficiency and impact, one day of the meeting was dedicated to working together under the coordination of DAA on the out-of-the-box ideas for informal education which suggested alternative, inclusive and interactive methods for teaching. On the other hand, InnovED held a half-day “digital storytelling” workshop, which formed the base for the design of Digital Storytelling lecture. This equipped project team members with necessary skills for conducting digital storytelling workshops in all partner cities.

TPM2 @Bucharest

The 2nd transnational project meeting was organized by De-a Arhitectura Association and it took place in Bucharest at the National Chamber of Architects in Romania headquarters, “Casa Mincu”, between 21 and 23 June 2023, with the participation of 20 people as follows: 14 project team members from four of the project partners and 6 De-a Arhitectura members besides the core project team, that conducted different activities for and with the project team.

The consortium worked to finalize the design phase of the Palimpsest Cities course curriculum. As a part of the meeting, a field trip was organized in the Jewish Neighborhood of Bucharest to witness its diverse layers. Three half-day workshops were conducted as well: “City on Trial” and “Training of Trainers” by DAA and “Model of the Palimpsest City” by ITU.

TPM3 @Istanbul

The third transnational meeting of Palimpsest Cities project was organized by Istanbul Technical University and it took place in Istanbul at the Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Taşkışla Campus, 05 – 06 February 2024 with the participation of 11 project team members on site from four of the project partners.

TPM4 @Volos

The Center for Education and Innovation hosted the fourth transnational meeting of the Palimpsest Cities project in Volos, Greece, at the Park Hotel on June 27-28, 2024. The meeting saw the on-site participation of 12 project team members representing four project partners.
