Öykü Balcı
Öykü Bahar Balcı Güngör, PhD candidate, architect and researcher, has been working as a research assistant at ITU Faculty of Architecture since 2019. She completed her bachelor’s degree in architecture in 2016 and her master’s degree in Architectural History Program in 2020 at ITU. Currently, she is a PhD student in the same institution’s Architectural History Program. She has experience as a teaching assistant at the undergraduate level on architectural history and architectural design studio courses. She has also participated in several field surveys of archaeological sites and workshops focused on historical areas. Her research interests lie in the fields of multilayered cities, reuse of historical monuments/buildings/architectural elements, Byzantine architecture, architectural documentation and digital documentation technologies.
